We're excited to announce the 2017 San Francisco Civic Music Association Gala!

Date & Time: Friday, May 5th, 6-10pm

Location: San Francisco War Memorial Green Room, 401 Van Ness Ave.

This year's Gala will be the biggest yet, featuring a new venue, the War Memorial Green Room in San Francisco. As we watch twilight descend over the city from the balcony, we will enjoy drinks and hors d'oeuvres complemented by chamber music. Over dinner and dessert, we will welcome our keynote speaker, pianist Daniel Glover. Daniel is the featured soloist for the Summer 2017 Civic Symphony concert. We will also be holding live and silent auctions in support of several key initiatives for our upcoming seasons.

In the past year, the Civic Symphony Association has counted membership of over 250 musicians playing in our five ensembles, who have performed for a combined audience of over 4,500 music lovers across the Bay Area. Despite this success, there is still unmet demand for music-making opportunities in San Francisco. Of the nearly 200 musicians who expressed interest in playing with us in the last year, fewer than a third of them were able to find permanent home in one of our ensembles.

Funds raised from this evening will help the Association fill critical needs, both in preserving our current ensembles and allowing us to expand the reach of the organization to welcome more musicians. In addition, this support enables us to reach more members of the community through our performances and outreach efforts.
