The San Francisco Civic Symphony is dedicated to offering affordable and free opportunities for classical music lovers and amateur musicians in San Francisco. Our ensembles are open to all and our concerts are free and accessible to the public. Help support us as we work to continuously expand our work in the city!

Please join us for this year's Summer Workshop.

This year the Summer Workshop is July 5th to August 16th at the African American Art & Culture Complex, 762 Fulton St.

The string orchestra summer workshop provides amateur musicians with little or no symphony experience a chance to explore music from "inside" an orchestra.  Most of our players in previous years have been working adults who missed the experience of playing in high school or college or have been away too long.  More experienced string players often join to provide support, or just to have fun.
