Current COVID-19 Guidelines for Musicians

  • You will be asked to sign a waiver in order to participate. It is only necessary to sign the form once per season, regardless of how many activities you participate in.

All participants are encouraged to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

  • Participation in any SF Civic Music activity is no longer contingent upon COVID-19 vaccination status. If you have questions about this policy or need to discuss your status, email the board. To protect your data, please do not email vaccination or other medical records.

Mask requirements are at the discretion of the Music Director of each ensemble.

If you feel sick or are showing symptoms, stay home.

  • To enable contact tracing, please inform board@sfcivicmusic.org or your Music Director if you have tested positive for COVID-19 while participating in one of our ensembles.

  • Should a participating musician test positive for COVID-19, we ask that they not attend rehearsals or any concert until they have tested negative with a PCR or home test.

  • If individuals are feeling ill, they should stay away from in-person meetings or gatherings.

These guidelines will be updated as necessary.

  • All guidelines will continue to be updated as appropriate based on CDC and CA Department of Public Health updates. CDC and CA Department of Public Health recommendations are monitored by the SF Civic Music Board of Directors on a regular basis.

  • Counties continue to adjust guidelines as public health officials learn more about the virus in their communities. Please be sure to check your county’s COVID guidelines for up-to-date recommendations and requirements.
